The Clown on a bench

Hello world;

I still remember that happiest moment, the last day of my HSC board exams. It was a big relief. But I was more excited because I was getting birthday treat at McDonald (and who doesn’t love that  when it’s free).
We had lots of fun and when we were about to leave, there is a ritual which we have to perform.

Yes you guessed that right !
Clicking pictures with CLOWN ON A BENCH

I am sure you must have seen this celebrity many times or even clicked selfie with him, but have you ever wondered why they keep this clown outside their every restaurant.

First let me tell you some amazing facts.
Do you know that McDonald’s has approximately 37,000 restaurants in roughly 120 countries. There are more than 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. Over 90% of McDonald’s restaurants worldwide are owned and operated by independent local franchisees. The company plans to open about 1,000 new McDonald’s restaurants during 2018. And it all started with a small dream.

Once when someone asked Ronald McDonald about most successful moment of his life, he replied ” There was a time when I had nothing in my life and while sitting on the bench I visualize the growth of my restaurant and that was the most successful moment of my life

The clown you see is none other than Ronald McDonald himself. He wanted to give us the message that when he didn’t have a single penny, sitting on the bench along the roadside he saw a dream, a dream that has become true and it’s there in front of you.

So what do we learn from this ???

We don’t really need financial leverage to achieve what we want. Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Bill Gates were not billionaire when they started. It all started with a belief. All you need is faith in yourself and strong determination.
It doesn’t matter where you start, as long as you start.

Next time when you click picture with our clown, remember how it all started.

And if you like this, don’t forget to give me a treat…;-)
