The way you sleep and the direction you sleep-in does affect your health. This might seem shocking but as you would read this post you will realize about the scientific process which makes this into a reality
Before going into the directions you that you need to sleep-in. Lets go into some of the scientific fundamentals of the human body.🤓
The Magnetic North pole of the earth is constantly pulling the continents towards it at a microscopic speed. This is believed to be the reason behind the increasing height of the himalayan mountain ranges.🤔
The himalayan ranges crashes into itself which is the reason behind the increasing height. It is known that the himalayas are increasing by an average height of about 1.23cm per year ! If the earth is capable of pulling the continents then it would certainly be able to pull everything else in the continent at a microscopic rate. 😱 Take a look at another fact shown below.
Your heart is not located half-way down, it is placed three-fourths of the way up because pumping blood up against gravity is more difficult than pumping it down. The blood vessels which go upward are a finer arrangement compared to those going down. As they go up into the brain, they are almost hair-like, to such a point that they cannot even take one extra drop. If one extra drop is pumped in, something will burst and you will have a hemorrhage.
Whenever the body is in vertical position, the heart calculates the speed at which the blood must be pumped to the brain.😏 When the body is horizontal since there is no gravity coming into picture, the heart calculates a slightly lower speed and pumps the blood at a lower speed in order to prevent brain damage. So, now we know that the brain is subject to a lot of forces which are undesirable if aligned in a certain way.😅
What happens when you sleep putting your head towards the north ?
Iron is one of the metals present in the human body. It is an important ingredient in your blood. We know that iron is magnetic in nature so if the head is placed in a direction facing the magnetic north pole of the earth then it causes an unnecessary pull in the body ( same as the continents described above). This is true if you are in the northern hemisphere of the earth. This unnecessary pull in the body disrupts the sleep cycle and the body is disturbed. The best direction to sleep in this case is East. Of course, if you sleep for one day nothing will happen but over a period of time the body will inflict severe damage. If you live in the Southern hemisphere then the rule is slightly different. You must sleep facing the north if you are in South America or Australia. Now we may realize why the ancient people said, that our intellect improves by east facing head.🤓😅
